Spirit deck skončil na YCS Chicago Illinois s pekným skóre 8-3. Základmi decku sú Aratama a Nikitama. Ideálna ruka v prvom kole:

- Summon Nikitama, Special Summon Kagetokage, a normal summon Aratama a pohladať v decku Nikitama.
- Overlay Nikitama a Kagetokage na King of the Feral Imps.
- Detach Nikitama, potiahnuť kartu a nájsť Kagetokage.

v ďalšom kole:

- Summon Nikitama, Special Summon Kagetokage, a normal summon Aratama a pohľadaj v decku Nikitama.
- Overlay Nikitama a Kagetokage na Lavalval Chain.
- Detach Nikitama a daj si Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning na vrch decku a potiahni ho pomocou Nikitama.
- Banish Nikitama a Kagetokage z hrobu  a Special Summon Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning.

Problém tohto decku si po turnaji všimol aj Doug Zeeff, ktorý dento deck pilotoval, na to, aby sa mohol vyvolať BLS musí byť Kagetokage v hrobe a inak sa do hrobu nedostane ako keď v prvom kole súper nezničí King of the Feral Imps, ktorý keď prežije, tak nemôže aktivovať svoj efekt. Po hlvnom turnaji dal okamžite do decku aj tretieho Kagetokage.
